ORDER ARTHOUSE is proud to offer minority-only grants to aspiring filmmakers. With just a small entrance fee (fees vary by grant), you can get one step closer to completing your project.
Micro Short Film: 1-15 pages ($500 Grant)
This grant is offered twice annually — Phase I + Phase II — and can only be applied to projects with 15 or less pages.
Any African American with a qualifying* outline or script is eligible to apply for the Micro Short Film Fund. The submission period for Phase I is every January-March with the selected winner notified in May. Phase II’s submission period runs from July-September with the selected winner notified in November.

Mini Short Film: 16-40 pages ($1000 Grant)
Like our Micro Grant, all African Americans with a qualifying* outline or script are eligible to apply for the Mini Short Film Fund. This grant is also offered twice annually — Phase I + Phase II and can only be applied to projects with 16-40 pages.
The submission period for Phase I is every January-March with the selected winner notified in May. Phase II’s submission period runs from July-September with the selected winner notified in November.

Short Film or Episodic Series (Web Only Grant): 41-60 pages ($1500)
OA also offers standard Short Film and episodic web series funding for qualifying* outlines or scripts. This grant is also offered twice annually — Phase I + Phase II — and can only be applied to projects with 41-60 pages (for episodic series, a pilot script only is acceptable).
The submission period for Phase I is every January-March with the selected winner notified in May. Phase II’s submission period runs from July-September with the selected winner notified in November.
